It has been more than 2 weeks, I haven’t written any blog because I need to continue writing my undergraduate thesis. Some of my best friends have already passed their examination though. It’s okay. I mean, it’s my chosen path, considering my topic of the research is also pretty tough. Although somehow it’s challenging, I enjoy to do all those things, my research topic is worthy to discuss because it is a thing that I like wkwk, and I can still do my part-time job. Sometimes I feel that it’s something stressful, but I realize that I need to be calm, composed and keep doing my work. Being composed all the time is mostly impossible, therefore I need to chill myself by doing things that I like. And one of them is visiting cultural events in Jogja.
There are lots of events in Jogja, but I’ll take the focus on cultural events. Around May to September, it is like a showroom for cultural festivals. I visited 23rd Yogyakarta Gamelan Festival on 13th of July at Pusat Kebudayaan Koesnadi Hardjasoemantri UGM. There were some music performances mostly gamelan, by elementary school and junior high school students, and gamelan artists which anesthetized my mind to be in a peaceful place (widiiiiww). The value of this festival is that we need to realize that gamelan is being a worldwide fame. As the original heir of gamelan, we must conserve the existence of gamelan itself.
And another festival is Festival Kesenian Yogyakarta 30. It’s an annual art festival that encompass many kinds of art located at Planet Pyramid. This year’s theme entitled MESEMELEH was interpreted as the adaptation of changing times when a human was not only seen as an object but also a subject who builds an art discourse. This festival provided a space for people who wanted to deeply understand and experience the world of art. This event included many fields of art which were music, theater, culinary, craft, visual arts, and so on. I give you the sneak peek.
A key for a successful visit is the meal. For the culinary, I bought Indomie geprek which was so f*cking hotttt but it tasted good, of course, it was Indomie darlinggg, then nasi kebuli, sate lilit nasi balap, and I forgot what else hahaha. i just captured these three foods.
So guys, what I’m trynna say is that please enjoy and live your life by doing something that you like. I know, sometimes life is suck, problems come up in our lives, but remember it’s all about how we perceive our lives itself. Love, face, and solve your problems. Do enjoy something you like. I love you.
